Indonesian high school students visit us through Sakura Science Plan

Home > News & Events > Indonesian high school students visit us through Sakura Science Plan

Japan Science and Technology Agency invites people from Asian countries and others to Japan through Sakura Science Plan in a collaboration of industry-academia-government, to introduce and offer experience in Japanese science and technology. As part of this plan, high school students from Indonesia visited our university on October 29.

They first arrived at our Kusanagi campus before noon and had halal food lunch served at our cafeteria. Our International students from Indonesia joined the lunch and enjoyed talking with them on their life in the university and Shizuoka.

After the lunch, they moved to our Oshika campus to have a campus tour of the School of Nursing. They learned how simulation was used in nursing education through taking a closer look at high-tech mannequin and so forth. As some students got interests in our university, they asked about our scholarships.

We have Sakura Science Plan visits every year. Based on the situation that Shizuoka Prefecture and West Java Province in Indonesia deepens their relationships, this year we accepted students from the province.
