Prof. Veith from Bremen University of Applied Sciences Reports on International Academic Exchange and Joint Research with Prof. Ueno
From December 16 to 21, 2024, Professor Stefan Veith from the Bremen University of Applied Sciences, a partner university of our university, visited us. The purpose of this visit was to promote educational and research exchange with our university, as well as to present the outcomes of their joint research at the 15th International Conference of THE JAPANESE ACCOUNTING REVIEW held at Kobe University. Professor Veith's research is conducted in collaboration with Professor Ueno from the School of Management and Informatics and examines the economic impacts of financial regulations on the insurance industry in the EU, utilizing data from Japan and the United States. During his stay, he engaged in discussions with faculty members involved in international exchange, including Vice President Tomizawa, and delivered a special lecture on the corporate valuation of Japanese and German automobile manufacturers as part of the university-wide course "Introduction to Business Analysis B." The outcomes of this collaboration through exchanges between the two universities are highly anticipated.
