On December 19, our university proudly hosted an International Exchange Seminar with the University of California, Davis (UCD), showcasing a decade-long partnership rooted in innovation and academic excellence. Since establishing an academic exchange agreement in 2011, we have collaborated closely with UCD, particularly in pharmaceutical sciences. This partnership includes groundbreaking research, such as analyzing data on the electrical and contractile activity of human iPS cell-derived cardiomyocytes using UCD's state-of-the-art supercomputers. Together, these efforts have pushed the boundaries of scientific discovery.

The seminar featured Dr. Sato, a prominent researcher at UCD, who delivered a compelling presentation on applying mathematical analysis to understand cardiac function. This novel approach captivated our students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and graduate programs, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm. By engaging with this interdisciplinary and international perspective, students gained fresh insights and broadened their academic horizons.

The Q&A session further enriched the experience, with students eagerly posing questions that led to dynamic discussions. Dr. Sato shared his journey as a researcher, offering valuable advice and inspiring students to pursue their aspirations in science and innovation. For many, the seminar was a transformative experience, fueling their ambitions for the future.
As we continue to nurture global talent and promote academic growth, our university is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to thrive through international collaborations. We look forward to building on this vibrant partnership with UCD and advancing our shared mission of innovation and excellence.
