On June 5 and 6, 2025, the 100th Anniversary of Hangzhou Medical College (formerly known as Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences) and the Health Science Symposium were held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Representing our university, a delegation of seven members, including President Imai, took part in the commemorative events.
On June 4, the delegation visited the Faculty of Pharmacy at Hangzhou Medical College and toured the gallery located within the faculty building. This was followed by an overview of the faculty’s educational and research activities, presented by the Dean. Subsequently, a discussion was held between faculty members of both institutions to explore future collaboration opportunities.
On the morning of June 5, our delegation held talks with President Liang, Vice Presidents, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and other faculty members regarding inter-university academic exchange. The discussions covered a wide range of topics including faculty and student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, credit transfer systems, admissions frameworks, and degree acquisition.
The Health Science Symposium, held throughout the same day, featured participants from not only Japan and China, but also other Asian countries such as South Korea and Thailand. The symposium provided a vibrant platform for international research presentations and academic exchange. Four faculty members and one student from our university were invited as speakers, drawing significant interest from attendees.

At 10:00 a.m., the official 100th Anniversary event was held, during which President Imai delivered a congratulatory address. A commemorative reception took place in the evening, followed by a grand anniversary festival, offering a valuable opportunity to deepen ties and foster mutual understanding.
