~ Student-led exchanges promotes global learning ~
On August 4th, 2025, Dr. Juraporn Tangpukdee, Aassociate Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University (Thailand), along with four graduate students, visited the School of Nursing at our university (Oshika Campus). During their visit, a workshop was held under the theme "Global Perspectives on Child Health Promotion in International Health." Each graduate student gave a presentation in English on their respective research, followed by an active discussion with our faculty members and students. The exchange provided a meaningful opportunity for participants to broaden their perspectives on global nursing issues.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Tangpukdee delivered a short presentation on healthcare disparities and pediatric healthcare in Thailand, offering insight into the local challenges and responses. In addition, our nursing students led a campus tour in English, showcasing their communication skills and cultural awareness through direct interaction with the visitors.
To conclude the program, Dean Yamashita presented each graduate student with a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their participation in the workshop, marking the successful end of the exchange. The program strengthened ties between the two universities and offered meaningful international learning experiences. Continued collaboration is expected.
