Two students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Khon Kaen University in Thailand have come to our university as part of a program allowing students to conduct a portion of their graduation research at overseas institutions. Our university and Khon Kaen University signed an inter-university agreement in 2006, and have since developed a close partnership, particularly in the healthcare field. Under this program, the students will engage in research at our School of Pharmaceutical Sciences for a period of three months.
Prior to the start of the program, the two exchange students paid a courtesy visit to President Yasuyuki Imai on September 8. President Imai welcomed the students, stating, “Since this is a relatively long program lasting three months, I hope you will take this opportunity to absorb many new things.”
During the meeting, they exchanged views on various topics, including the university’s support system and future career paths after graduation.
This program had also been implemented prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and faculty members of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, including Dean Koichi Yoshinari, expressed their warm welcome to the students.
