As part of the university's international exchange initiatives, Associate Professor Gün Kut of Boğaziçi University, Türkiye, visited the university to deliver a special lecture and participate in academic exchange activities. On January 14, he paid a courtesy visit to President Yasuyuki Imai.
Our university and Boğaziçi University signed an inter-university agreement in 2006 and have since maintained active exchanges, including student exchange programs and mutual faculty visits. In FY2024, the two universities jointly hosted a special program approved by the Consulate General of Japan in Istanbul as part of the commemorative events marking the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of Japan–Türkiye Diplomatic Relations.
During the courtesy visit, President Imai welcomed Associate Professor Kut, stating, “Our university and Boğaziçi University have enjoyed a long history of active exchanges, particularly through student exchange programs. We look forward to further strengthening our collaboration in the future.”
Following the visit, Professor Kut delivered a special lecture titled “Reviewing the International Situation in 2025” in English, discussing the current international situation from a historical perspective. The lecture was intellectually stimulating and provided a valuable learning experience that was possible only in a face-to-face setting.
Our university will continue to promote further academic exchange and cooperation with Boğaziçi University.
