About the School of Management and Informatics
Creating problem solvers capable of utilizing innovation in modern society
Currently, Japan is undergoing drastic changes, both externally and internally, such as globalization of the economy/society and an aging population. In order to cope with this atmosphere of change, innovation is sought in various fields in modern society. Here, at the School of Management and Informatics, we foster students who specialize in four areas: management, policy studies, data science, and tourism. We also ensure that students’ specialization is well synchronized with other areas of study in order to enable them to become competent problem solvers who can utilize innovation in modern society. During their freshman year, students are expected to cover the basic knowledge of these four areas. From their sophomore year onwards, students are required to polish their specialized area but also achieve a good understanding of the other areas of study as well.
